WiebeTech announces Maxelerate™ for Apple's Mac mini

Faster Boot Drive, plus FireWire/USB Hub

Wichita, KS — August 31, 2005 — WiebeTech announces Maxelerate™, a high performance boot drive for the Mac mini, offering up to a 500GB 3.5" hard drive, a FireWire hub and a USB2 hub all integrated into an all-aluminum enclosure which matches the Apple Mac mini design. The Maxelerate can be currently ordered online or through distributors and is scheduled for shipping mid-September.

"Maxelerate does more than provide additional FireWire and USB ports, or even an external drive to the Mac mini," said James Wiebe, CEO of WiebeTech LLC. "This product actually increases the performance by giving the Mac mini a bootable hard drive that is 30 percent faster than the drive that comes inside the computer. And with 500GB capacity, it's over 6 to 12 times larger than the internal storage that comes with the mini computer."

Continuing WiebeTech's tradition of using intelligent metal design, Maxelerate is thermally engineered from aluminum, with an integral internal die-cast heat sink. It also has a fan for maximum cooling.

Maxelerate offers a FireWire hub with three ports and a USB2 hub, also with three ports. As a result, users of Maxelerate will be able to add storage while increasing I/O options to their computer.

Maxelerate may also be used as a pedestal for the Mac mini, fitting perfectly underneath it, so that valuable desk space is conserved.

Included with Maxelerate are the enclosure/hubs and drive, a FireWire cable, a USB cable, and an AC adapter.
