CRU-DataPort Enhances RTX™ Enclosures with Encryption

Vancouver, WA — March 5, 2012 — Protecting sensitive data from security breaches is easy with CRU-DataPort’s new line of RTX Secure encrypted storage towers. Specifically designed for government agencies with top-secret data, these units are now available for anyone that needs to prevent unauthorized access to confidential files. RTX Secure high performance tower enclosures, with AES 256-bit (FIPS 140-2) hardware based encryption, offer TrayFree™ removable bays for easy hot swapping and offsite data backup scalable to the amount of storage needed. Units are available with 4, 6 or 8 TrayFree bays and multiple interface options (Multilane, eSATA (point to point), eSATA (port multiplier), iSCSI and Quad (eSATA, FireWire 400/800 or USB 2.0). The units support any capacity 3.5” SATA drive.

RTX Secure products are designed to operate in two encryption modes and a bypass mode. Unique key mode encrypts each bay with a different 256-bit code using one physical encryption key (dongle). Common key mode encrypts each bay with the same 256-bit code. Drives used in common key mode are compatible with other CRU encryption products, provided the correct encryption key is used. Bypass mode does not encrypt bays and offers access without the use of an encryption key. Drives used in bypass mode are compatible with other non-encrypted CRU products.

Defense, justice and intelligence agencies have come to depend on CRU for data security needs. Adding CRU’s advanced 256-bit hardware encryption to the multi-drive RTX line will increase the demand from other security conscious organizations including civilian agencies, state and local governments, educational institutions and healthcare organizations. – David Whelan, CEO of Alliance Micro

RTX Secure is the safest encryption solution for government, healthcare and financial markets where data security is essential because RTX Secure is impossible to hack. RTX Secure models are available through CRU-DataPort resellers with base units starting at $829.00 MSRP.
