WiebeTech announces three new "fly away" drive imaging kits in Pelican Cases

Allows easy write-blocked access to many different drive types while in the field

Wichita, KS — September 28, 2005 — WiebeTech announces three new "fly away" drive imaging kits that give investigators even more of what they need to image hard drives in the field. These new kits are slated to ship by the end of September.

Each kit contains a set of WiebeTech's Combo Adapters which provide access to several different drive types, including 1.8" Toshiba drives (such as found in Apple's iPod), MicroDrives, Compact Flash modules, conventional 2.5" notebook drives and 1.8" Hitachi drives. The Combo Adapters allow easy imaging of unusual drive types when used in conjunction with WiebeTech's write-blocked Forensic ComboDock™ or read-only ComboDock™, which allow access to drives through FireWire 800 (400 compatible).

Each of the kits is housed in a small, tough Pelican case with custom-cut foam. FFK-9 is customized for forensic field use and includes a Forensic ComboDock™. The ADA-KIT-3 is customized for IT and computer technical personnel and (in addition to the various Combo Adapters) includes a WiebeTech ComboDock™ for easy drive attachment. The ADA-KIT-2 contains only the adapters and is aimed at those customers who already own a ComboDock.

Pricing and Availability

ADA-KIT-2 contains a set of six adapters, a pelican case and custom-cut foam. $599.95.

ADA-KIT-3 contains a set of six adapters, a WiebeTech ComboDock, a power supply, cables and a pelican case with custom-cut foam. $749.95

FFK-9 contains a set of six adapters, a WiebeTech Forensic ComboDock, a power supply, cables and a pelican case with custom cut foam. $999.95

The kits are available for order and ship within two weeks.
