Final Call for Entries for WiebeTech G505 Video Editing Contest


Judges Announced


Wichita, KS — October 25, 2005 — Judges have been selected for the G505 Video Contest sponsored by WiebeTech LLC to recognize video editing work done on the Macintosh G5.

Deadline for entries is November 15, 2005. Participants may enter a video clip (up to 5 minutes long) of their video project edited on a G5. Judges will decide the winner based on creativity and editing.

We are please to announce the following field of judges:

Torbin Bullock, Pixar Animation Studios. Bullock has been in post-production for the better part of 15 years working in Sound, Picture and Music departments. His credits include The Spirit of '76, Wind, The Secret Garden, Toy Story, A Bug's Life, Toy Story 2 and Monsters, Inc. He is currently working as the Associate Motion Picture Editor on the upcoming Walt Disney Studios presentation of a Pixar Animation Studios film, Cars.

Rick Lupton, principal of i.solve Inc. With offices in Los Angeles, Seattle and Vancouver, i.solve is a multidisciplinary creative firm with top reputation for building interactive content for feature films, television, broadcast and broadband delivery. Its credits include Spiderman 2 and 3, Bewitched, Catwoman, iRobot, Charlie's Angels 2 and X-Men 2.

Max Paul Franklin, founder and president of IMS Productions. Located in Colorado Springs, IMS has been in business for 34 years. As one of the premier creators of compelling video stories in the world, IMS has made feature films, introduced a line of corporate jets from Brazil and told stories about the genocide of Rwanda and Kurdistan. IMS was recently selected to produce the first worldwide television commercials to develop commerce in Kurdish Iraq. Clients include Embraer Aircraft, Raytheon, Cessna, Lockheed Martin, Junior Achievement, Pizza Hut, McDonald's, Black & Decker, Compassion International, US Space Foundation and many others.

Nathan King Miller, Kansas native whose pursuit of filmmaking led him to the USC's School of Cinema/Television. Upon graduation, he held an internship with Robert Redford's production company, Wildwood Enterprises. In the Spring of 2003, SoulSearcher Films was formed as a division of Ride Productions, becoming the impetus for short and feature films including EuroAmerican and Touched By Fire: Bleeding Kansas.

The winner of the G505 contest will be announced at Macworld Expo in San Francisco Jan. 10-13, 2006. The winner will receive a G5JamPak™, worth over $2,000. This bundles the popular G5Jam+™ and TrayDock eSATA™ and gives the G5 ultimate capacity and highest performance.
