WiebeTech announces new SilverSATA™ 4-bay FireWire and 5-bay SCSI enclosures, plus 4-port eSATA PCI-X host adapter

Wichita, KS — November 15, 2006 — WiebeTech has introduced two more models in its SilverSATA™ Series, making eight models now available that hold SATA 1 or 2 drives in interchangeable trays. Models are available in single, dual, 4 or 5 bay units and with various options of eSATA, FireWire, USB or SCSI interfaces.

In addition WiebeTech is introducing an eSATA PCI-X host adapter, with four eSATA ports, that supports SilverSATA models with an eSATA interface.

The SilverSATA IV FH features dual independent hardware RAIDS with two pairs of dual FireWire 800 (400 compatible) ports. Each pair of drives can be independently configured as JBOD or hardware RAID 0. This 4-tray version holds up to 3TB capacity.

The SilverSATA V UR 5-bay enclosure has a fast SCSI Ultra320 connection. It includes a state-of-the-art RAID controller, allowing for huge (3.75TB+) volumes and RAID level 0, 1+0, 3 and RAID 5 or 6. RAID 0 speeds can exceed a blazing 250 MB/s.

A new WiebeTech TeraCard 4-port eSATA PCI-X host adapter has four eSATA ports, each with an independent Serial ATA channel. It features port mulitplier support, so it works with any SilverSATA product with an eSATA interface, including SilverSATA V SJ.
