WiebeTech introduces Toshiba ZIF and DOM adapter to the line of v4 Combo Adapters

Wichita, KS — March 20, 2007 — The newest WiebeTech v4 Combo Adapters to complement its new v4 ComboDock™ imager make it easy to access Toshiba ZIF (ADA-TOSH-ZIF) flash disk storage devices and Disk on Module (DOM) IDE devices (ADAv4-DOM). These adapters are available individually or included in the newest Adapter Kit #4. Both adapters are in stock and ready to ship.

These new adapters will be introduced at FOSE, March 20-22, in Washington D.C, and at the CyberCrime Summit, March 20-22, in Kennesaw GA.

ZIF drives are used in such consumer electronics as iPod, Zune and other media players. DOM is a widely applied hard drive alternative found in such applications as GPS systems, mobile phones and mobile computing systems. Combo Adapters work hand-in-hand with the WiebeTech ComboDock v4 or Forensic ComboDock?. Each adapter has a sled connector for attaching the required drive.

As with most WiebeTech products, no new drivers are needed for plug-and-play use on any recent operating system. Combo Adapters work on Mac OS, Windows and with backup and forensic imaging software. When used with Forensic ComboDock, all data that transfers through a Combo Adapter is write-blocked. Additionally, WiebeTech is introducing the v4 Combo Adapter Kit #4 that includes a total of eight v4 adapters, everything needed to image almost any drive. The newest adapter kit includes adapters for the following standards: SATA, PC Card, 1.8" Toshiba, 1.8" Toshiba ZIF, 1.8" Hitachi ZIF, DOM, standard 2.5" and Compact Flash or Micro Drives. The newest adapter kit is in stock and ready to ship.

Shrouded IDE interface connector helps protect the delicate IDE pins while connecting the adapter to the dock.
IDE interface faces upward for better accessibility.
